Good morning, friends! (or afternoon/evening depending on when you choose to listen).

You know what’s so awesome? When you put on a song you haven’t heard before, and you’re just overwhelmed by the sound of it. Like, you don’t even know how to categorize the music, and you don’t even care. Today’s show has some of that!

It’s so great to get requests and suggestions from people who have listened, and today’s show is inspired by some of those requests, specifically for some more Cajun and Zydeco music in the mix. So this morning will feature music of Southern Louisiana, including New Orleans. You’ll hear some Cajun and Zydeco of course, but I’m going to throw in some boogie woogie jazz, blues, and R&B, all by Louisiana artists. You’ll hear some French language, some unusual percussion instruments, and a whole lotta brass. I’ll update the playlist after the show.

La Danse de la Vie: Beausoleil
Dansle Grand Brouillard: Beausoleil
Blues de Basile: Amede Ardoin
Les Blues de Voyage: Amede Ardoin

Finally, here’s the link to today’s show.

Happy Friday, y’all.
