The Signal - 3/25/14 playlist (Tales of Olde interview)

by Chris Kocher from The Signal at 11:07 PM on 3·25·2014

[From 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday]

Despite a shaky start (when he forgot to call on time), we had a good chat with Lucas Cortazio from Boston-based folk/rock band Tales of Olde. The group’s debut EP is out in June (except through PledgeMusic, where it’ll be released next week). Here are the tracks from them that we played:
“This Place”
“Little Bird”
“Why”
(Also played Julia McKinnis’ song “Chemistry” while waiting for Lucas to call.)

My apprentice did not show up tonight either, so from there it was a free-for-all.
“Busting Up a Starbucks” / “Black Helicopters” – Mike Doughty
“Kiss the Bad Boys” – Vance Gilbert (NEW)
“Holed Up in Mason City” – John Gorka (NEW)
“50,000 Watts” – Rosanne Cash (NEW)
“Everything” – Rachael Sage
“Gravity” – Silverclub (NEW)
“Crying on the Webcam” – Space (NEW)
“Watch the Walls Melt Down” – Matisyahu (NEW)
“This is Where I Belong” – the Kinks

Next week, I’ll have local folk/rock duo The Falconers (Bess Greenberg and JimmyJohn McCabe) in the studio for a live session and interview. Should be a good one.
