[From 7-10 p.m. Tuesday]
Awesome show discussing the Beatles’ music and legacy 50 years after their appearance on “Ed Sullivan Show.” The all-star panel included Eric Coker, George Basler, Stephen Lawrenson and Mary Donnelly.
Between discussion segments, we played the five tunes from the original “Sullivan” broadcast:
“All My Loving”
“Till There Was You”
“She Loves You”
“I Saw Her Standing There”
“I Want to Hold Your Hand”
At the end of the show, each panelist picked a favorite Beatles song (at least at that particular moment).
George: “Across the Universe”
Mary: “It’s All Too Much”
Stephen: “Yes It Is”
Next Tuesday at 7. we return to the 90-minute format as WHRW’s spring schedule begins. I’ll be joined by cast members of EPAC’s Dance Stories troupe to discuss their upcoming production, “Portraits of New York.”
The following Tuesday (Feb. 18), local singer/songwriter and recent EPAC Idol finalist Amy Hogan will be in the studio for a chat and some live music.
