[From 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday]
Fun chat with Melinda Kirwin of Australian indie folk duo The Falls, talking about their new EP “Hollywood” and their recent trip to South By Southwest in Austin. It was her first U.S. radio interview, but definitely keep an eye (and ear) on them, because I think they have a sound that will get more listeners in the next year or two – if not sooner. Here are the songs from them that we played:
“Home”
“Hey”
“Please”
“Girl That I Loved”
“Hollywood”
Learn more about them at musicfromthefalls.com.

From there, we played a bunch of other new tunes.
“Better Man” and “Bang Bang Boom Boom” – Beth Hart
“Question for Einstein” – Arlon Bennett
“Contamination” – Adam Marsland
“Mountains” – Thousands of One
“(You Will) Set the World on Fire” and “Dancing Out in Space” – David Bowie

Next week, local musician James Osterhout will join me in the studio to discuss the new Idiomatic Desecrators album “Hit the Honky.”
