Doctor B.

When I was a kid I was fascinated with turntables. I probably got more use out of the family Victrola (and put it to far more innovative uses!) than my folks did. In high school I was a member of an Explorer Scout troop which was based at a local radio station. On one occasion we put together radio programs which actually got aired. Yeah they got aired at 3 in the morning but hey, we've all gotta start somewhere! Where the tape of that program is I don't know, and perhaps thats just as well!

I've been DJing here at WHRW ever since the only "media" used on the air were 7 and 12-inch vinyl records (vinyls), audiocassettes and the occasional reel-to-reel tape. While I've long since availed myself of modern digital methods and media, I still put my shows together more or less the same way I did back in the day.
